We use own and third-party cookies to improve our services, customise our website, make it easier for our users to browse, offer an improved experience when using the website, identify problems and thereby improve the website.

We inform you that we can use cookies on your device provided you have given your consent, except in those cases where the cookies are necessary to browse our website. If you give your consent, we will be able to use cookies that will allow us to gather more information about your preferences and customise our website according to your individual interests.

What are cookies?

Cookies and other similar technologies, such as local shared objects and flash cookies are tools used by Web servers to store and recover information about website visitors, and also to ensure the correct functioning of the website.

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we store on your browser or the hard drive of your computer if you agree. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive.

We use the following cookies:

_hjid > Hotjar

Purpose:

Hotjar cookie is set when the customer first lands on a page with the Hotjar script. It is used to persist the Hotjar User ID, unique to that site on the browser. This ensures that behavior in subsequent visits to the same site will be attributed to the same user ID.

Further information:

This cookie expires after 365 days.

_hjTLDTest > Hotjar

Purpose:

When the Hotjar script executes we try to determine the most generic cookie path we should use instead of the page hostname. This is done so that cookies can be shared across subdomains (where applicable). To determine this, we try to store the _hjTLDTest cookie for different URL substring alternatives until it fails. After this check, the cookie is removed.

This cookie expires after the session.

_ga > Google Analytics

Purpose:

We use Google Analytics which is a web analytics tool that helps us understand how visitors engage with our Website. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to track user interactions, this helps us to collect information about how visitors use our Website. This information is used to compile reports and to help us improve our Website. The reports disclose website trends without identifying individual visitors.

_zlcmid > Zendesk

Purpose:

We use Zendesk Chat cookie to store visitor’s ID for the chat pop-up authentication.

Types of cookies according to the length of time they remain active:

Session cookies: these cookies are designed to collect and store data when the user accesses a website. They are generally used to store information that only needs to be kept for the provision of the service requested by the user on a single occasion (for example, a list of products bought) and disappear when the user logs off or ends the session.

Persistent cookies: with these cookies, the data continues to be stored in the terminal and may be accessed and processed for a period defined by the person/entity responsible for the cookie, which may range from a few minutes to several years.

Where we work with third-party vendors to apply cookies on our behalf and they have access to personal data collected via cookies or other apps, they are subject to appropriate contractual safeguards in line with the requirements of the GDPR.

Please note that third parties, over which we have no control, may also use cookies which could include, for example, advertising networks and providers of external services like web traffic analysis services. These third-party cookies are likely to be analytical cookies or performance cookies or targeting cookies:

ASSURE HEDGE does not share the information collected by cookies with any third parties.

If you are an EU resident, you have certain rights in relation to any personal data that we process about you. These rights are set out in our EU Privacy Notice, which you can find here: https://ec.europa.eu/info/privacy-policy_en.
